I bought this vaccum while in grad school, figuring that for the low price, I’d be okay with it dying in a year or two. I was really impressed by the quality and the cleaning power. The way it was explained to me was that you might burn out a vacuum quickly in a large home, but for an apartment or condo or smaller home it probably has good lasting power. And mine lasted until I accidentally ran over a pair of socks and killed the gear or something like that. At that point, the repairs were too costly to be worth it, but I’m buying another and wont’ leave my things about when I’m vaccuming. If you need a 2nd vacuum or even a first for a smaller space, you won’t be let down by this. Good power, and yeah, it’s noisy but what vacuum cleaner isn’t?

I was always curious about this book. I have heard of it for as long as I can remember. I have seen many referencs made to it. And I know there was a relationship with this book tied to Mark David Chapman, the assasin of John Lennon.
What I don’t understand is what the big deal is about it. It is well written and very discriptive but ultimately seems pointless. It follows a few days in the life of a student expelled from his school and doesn’t really go anywhere or make any point. I am not a big reader of fiction so maybe I’m missing something here.
All I can say is if you have been one, like myself who has always been curious about “The Catcher and the Rye”, don’t waste your time.
