I really wanted to be thrilled with the Ipod Touch G 32gig. I have a MacBook Pro laptop and an IMac desktop. I loved being able to put my entire, extensive, audiobook collection on it, as well as some movies and photos, but about 6 months after purchasing it I found that the external speakers would stay on even after I plugged in the earphones. Since I never use the external speakers anyway I find this extremely annoying, and even fell off the treadmill at the gym trying to shut them off. I find people don’t like to have to listen to your MP3 player when they are working out. When this is happening, which is most of the time now, I can’t even raise or lower the volume thru the earbuds, which is the way I listen. I have searched the internet for a solution and have yet to find one, although others have described the same problem on the forums. My software is up to date, I have tried every fix suggested and I am at a loss. I had planned to get an Iphone when my Verizon contract was up, but this experience did it for me. I’ll stick to my Blackberry. I can listen to audiobooks on it, too, although I will miss that pretty Touch interface. I am going to try to get Amazon to take it back.

I was always curious about this book. I have heard of it for as long as I can remember. I have seen many referencs made to it. And I know there was a relationship with this book tied to Mark David Chapman, the assasin of John Lennon.

What I don’t understand is what the big deal is about it. It is well written and very discriptive but ultimately seems pointless. It follows a few days in the life of a student expelled from his school and doesn’t really go anywhere or make any point. I am not a big reader of fiction so maybe I’m missing something here.

All I can say is if you have been one, like myself who has always been curious about “The Catcher and the Rye”, don’t waste your time.

i love the tiny love gym mat. my son, who is 2 months old, loves to spend time playing on this mat. the black, white, and red patterns are visually stimulating for infants and the toys are developmentally appropriate for infants. my son will spend 20-30 minutes playing on the mat( a long time for a 2 month old!) he enjoys looking at his reflection in the mirror and hitting the toys with his hands. i also purchased the wind chimes which he loves to kick. i recommend this toy to all!

But her ordinary world is soon turned upside down when she meets Edward Cullen. Edward is everything any girl would want; beautiful, pale, protective, strong, chivalrous and kind. But there is one hitch, Edward is a vampire!

This book follows the life of Bella as she struggles to make sense of her now completely crazy life and her crazy love for Edward. And she soon discovers that being in love with a vampire has its dangers. I loved this book and can say I was obsessed with it for months after I read it. I encourage everyone looking for a great modern romance to try this one out.

This is a rich and complex story about the relationships that existed between African American domestics and their white employers as the young civil rights movement develops in Jackson, MS and across the nation. These relationships are examined from both sides – white and black – through two main characters, Skeeter and Abialine. Skeeter, a young white woman raised and deeply loved by a black domestic Constantine, is determined to become a writer. During a bridge club meeting, she learns that Abialine’s son (now dead) began writing a manuscript describing the relationship between black men and their employers in the Deep South. This triggered an idea to do a similar work, only about women. Abialine and Skeeter begin the journey of writing “Help” against the back drop of the civil rights movement.
The irony is that the plot mirrors the narrative. The women in The Help live the relationships as they secretively write the manuscript about these relationships for Harper & Row. We are reading their manuscript with more characters added – husbands, children, doctors, and colorful politicians.
All the characters are beautifully developed. The antagonist Hilly, is completely believable and recognizable – we all have known a Hilly. My favorite character is Minnie. She is tough, honest, untrusting of whites, and ultimately self-sacrificing.
Give yourself a treat, read The Help.

Have tried 3 pedometers, this one is by far the best for a small investment. I average 10-12 miles 5 days a week. Once I got my step distance figured and set in the pedometer – it’s right on the money. Only down side is I walk different lengths a few times a day and keep record, if you do the same – keep a mini calculator near by. Otherwise – a great Pedometer.
Sweatshirt Woman White Love

I got this product (8GB Touch, called “3rd Gen” though it’s really “2nd Gen) November 2009, and it worked great for 1/2 year. Apple then “upgraded” the operating system from OS3 to OS4 (a software upgrade that happened through iTunes), and now it goes much slower and crashes much more often. Apple does not provide a way to go back to the old operating system, and does not respond to requests for help.
