I agree with all the positive comments already made. The only thing I have to add is that I purchased the product for the heart rate monitor, and I found it is nearly impossible to read while running. All the other display numbers are large. The numbers for the BPM are tiny. They are almost impossible to read when you are standing still. The IronMan one has 4 windows in their display, one with large BPM numbers, and, I’ve been told, that the display can be changed for preference. I may check that out, but, in the meantime, this is great for all the other reasons mentioned.

“Carried water for elephants indeed. Do you have any idea how much water an elephant drinks?” These words of Jacob Jankowski open this well-researched, fascinating novel about circus life. This story is told by ninety-something Jacob as he vacillates between the present and the past, reflecting upon an incredible life that was not always easy, but was satisfying.

Jacob finds himself in a nursing home, his mind still active and questioning the meaning of his existence. Reminiscing about his life, he searches for meaning in the bland nursing home food and the fellow nursing home occupants, most of whom have surrendered their logical minds. As he remembers his life following the death of his parents when he was in his early twenties, he marvels at how every event led to the life he had.

Well-researched and accurate, many incredible facts of circus life are divulged in this story. To add to this realism, there are actual photographs from circus archives. This is one unforgettable book!

We needed a new scale. Our old one had broken (1) and we saw that it had a less than stellar review so we searched. The EatSmart scale exceeded our expectations. It is easy to use, accurate (2 different doctor’s apts. were right on the mark) and elegant, So thank you for selling a product that has value.
We’re EatSmart fans.

This item is perfect for Florida. Rather than placing the GPS unit on the windshield it fits on this portable friction mount perfectly. I read that the suction mount will melt to the window in a hot climate. This portable mount is wonderful and is genuine Garmin equipment. I definitely would recommend this item.

We put off buying a new scale for months, assuming the range of options would be daunting. Finally I got tired of changing weight by 5 pounds in an hour, and decided the old one was shot.

I am so happy with this scale! I step on it, and it lights up right away. The display is big enough to read without my glasses — and it registers the same weight when I step on it a second time. We did not need the extra wide version, but found this one sturdy enough to help weigh our son’s checked bags as we flew him to college last week. It was reassuring to know that one bag was within the airline limits – and to know one was not, so we could rearrange.

I highly recommend this scale. it is very attractive, accurate, easy to use — and in the product literature you get the idea that it is made by real people, who really care about quality and customer service.

How often is a product exactly right (especially a product with which middle aged women like me sometimes have a complicated relationship!)

Good Ipod touch for the price. Problem is that you can not see more than 11 pages of apps. Company says that an update will be coming in the future to allow you to see all of your apps. It is inconvenient at this time.

I have used a pedometer on and off for years. When our office offered a fitness challenge, I knew I wanted to participate. The counting and tracking of steps was essential, so my search began for a reliable pedometer. I checked the local “mart” and sports stores, and did research online. I determined the Omron HJ-112 was the best choice. I carefully calibrated the essential information, and attached it to my pants. The first thing I noticed was that it did a good job of not mistakenly identifying random movement as steps which was a plus. I thought that I was getting an accurate reading until I realized it wasn’t actually counting all my steps. My daughter, who was also participating in the challenge, commented that I don’t have much hip movement when I walk and that’s why it wasn’t working properly. She was right! Her pedometer, which cost significantly less, did a far better job of accurately counting her steps.

Another issue I have with this pedometer is the size. It is bulky and less than discreet. A diabetic family member remarked that it resembles a blood glucose meter or insulin pump. I believe the unwieldy size contributes to the fact that it does not stay securely clipped to clothing. I have lost it repeatedly which is annoying, and contributes to the less than accurate step totals.

I would not recommend this pedometer, nor would I purchase it again.

I read lots of reviews about lots of vacuums before purchasing this vacuum. I was hoping it was as good as everyone said, and I was not disappointed!! It was very reasonably priced, and does a great job! I have owned several canisters and bagless vacs. I am partial to canisters because of the ease in reaching under things. But this one has a low profile, so it does a pretty good job reaching the places I need to reach. And the first time I started, I found out quickly that I had better have a firm grip on the handle- the power head will pull the thing right out of your hand and the vac will take off on its own across the floor. Sound-wise, it is really not any louder than most of my previous vacs, and quieter than the Fantom Fury I just retired. I read that the power head will throw dirt around on tile and wood floors. I mainly have carpet, so I haven’t experienced this yet. Seems to do OK on the small amount of hard floors I have. We have cats, and with a separate attachment I picked up for this purpose (didn’t come with the vacuum), the vac does a great job picking up cat hair.
The only negatives I have found are:
- Since it is a small vac, the bags are small- so buy extras.
- The cord is a little too short- Be ready to unplug and plug in a lot if you have much space to cover.
- The hose is really short. I think I will be buying an extension hose soon.
- As expected with an inexpensive unit, the attachments are very basic.
In summary, I am very pleased so far. Hopefully it will last long enough for me to get my money’s worth.
