Emeril Lagasse calls these “boat motors.” Of course he probably uses the professional Waring version that costs over $100. I find this much less expensive model to be quite well built with a powerful motor (it actually pulls itself down into the sauce). Clean up is simple enough- simply run it in a bowl of hot soapy water. I recommend it.

This is an amazing kitchen tool. I have used it mainly for chopping bell peppers, onions and others veggies. Amazingly quick and easy to clean up. Love it.
