I ordered this Wii for my mom and dad and they seem to love it. They are technically challenged so it is taking some getting used to, but they seem excited to have it and to get started on the Wii fit.

This is a short review because I have yet to use the scale. The description and instructions mention included batteries. My scale did not come with them. If the description said batteries not included, I would have bought them while I waited the week for the scale to arrive. Minor inconvenience.

Guess which one? Most people would choose the circus story, I would venture to guess. But for me, the old man in the nursing home was the superb plotline. Having observed my parents and grandparents and other people in that situation, I thought the author captured the experience, and the frustration for the…I always want to say ‘inmate’ rather than ‘patient’…who one day finds him/herself to be 90 (or 93) and wonders how this ever came about. The little indignities were all there, along with understanding that the ‘inmate’s’ children are getting on in years themselves and can’t assume caretaking. It was done with humor, compassion, and insight. I suppose a whole book devoted to a nursing home soap opera would have been too much, so the circus story paced it out.
I found myself skimming the chapters about the circus so I could get back to the nursing home drama. I often do that with books where I like one plotline but not the other. (The Devil in the White City; The Short History of a Prince). Pssst, don’t tell the authors, but I’ll bet a lot of other readers do, too.

When shooting with JPEG format, burst speed is fast enough for most DSRLs.
Not sure how it works with HD video.

This watch is a phenomenal value. It does all of the basics that are needed and a whole lot more that I haven’t tapped yet. It is the most popular product I found after a lot of research.

I bought this SteamVac only to clean area rugs. One is very shaggy and the other is not. It worked very well on both rugs. I did have trouble with it at one point because if it’s not put back together correctly after filling the water it won’t suck the water. Other than that, it certainly met my expecations and did a good job cleaning the rugs. I haven’t used the upholstery feature yet.
