Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV, in movie theaters, on the Internet, and the music they listen to, but also be alert regarding the books they read.

Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D.. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, “Don’t judge a book by its cover or title.”

The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the “voice of God”. However, the “answers” that he gives are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of God. For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she was ‘born that way’ because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her differences.

Another girls poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”

His reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.”

Another question asks about God’s forgiveness of sin. His reply “I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive.. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is “‘judge not lest ye be judged.”
Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some instances quote (in error) the Word of God.

And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being sold to schoolchildren through (The Scholastic Book Club), and we need to be aware of what is being fed to our children.

Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your chil

Purchased this Hoover vacuum after researching many different ones. I opted for the bagged version because my previous Hoover that was bagless was such a pain to clean out and I always ended up with more of a mess after emptying it. This way I can just pull out the bag and drop it in the garbage. This vacuum is easy to manuver and not as loud as the previous one. Really cleans my carpets! Love it!

If you like fantasy or mystery, then this is the book for you. I would have rated it 7+ stars, but the rating chart didn’t go that high…

If you get one book a year, then GET THIS BOOOOOK!!!

Every part of it makes you want to read more, every scheme or plan makes you wonder what the next is going to be, and every time you finish a book in this series, you just can’t wait till the next.

And just the style of Eion Colfer’s writing is almost enough t make you think like you’re in the story.

I bought this last year and amazon displayed it as a 3rd gen 8 GB model. Since I don’t know ipods i assumed everythingw as correct. I later found out that this is acutally a newer second gen ipod(?) after trying to install the new OS 4.1. It also redirects me to a 2nd gen ipod when i press the link for the 3rd gen 8gb on my profile. Paid 200 dollars for this last year and didnt think i got my moneys worth. But its not a bad product. Lesson learned. Gotta do research before buying stuff like this off amazon again… Pretty pissed at amazon right now.

I didn’t know what the book was about;I saw in TIME MAGAZINE that it was on Gwen Ifill’s summer reading list.
I really enjoyed the book.I couldn’t put it down.As an Afro-American and having worked as a maid 50 years ago, I shed so many tears, I had to stop reading @ times. It was very true to life.

The scale was simple to set up and simpler to use. I step on the scale and can read my weight easily. If I forget my glasses, I can step off the scale and the numbers remain there for a few seconds. I can get my glasses or bend down to read it.

I have tried to “trick” the scale by stepping on and off it several times, but each time it gives the same number. (Maybe I want my old unreliable scale back. Sometimes it could take of five pounds in a minute.:) ).

This is a rich and complex story about the relationships that existed between African American domestics and their white employers as the young civil rights movement develops in Jackson, MS and across the nation. These relationships are examined from both sides – white and black – through two main characters, Skeeter and Abialine. Skeeter, a young white woman raised and deeply loved by a black domestic Constantine, is determined to become a writer. During a bridge club meeting, she learns that Abialine’s son (now dead) began writing a manuscript describing the relationship between black men and their employers in the Deep South. This triggered an idea to do a similar work, only about women. Abialine and Skeeter begin the journey of writing “Help” against the back drop of the civil rights movement.
The irony is that the plot mirrors the narrative. The women in The Help live the relationships as they secretively write the manuscript about these relationships for Harper & Row. We are reading their manuscript with more characters added – husbands, children, doctors, and colorful politicians.
All the characters are beautifully developed. The antagonist Hilly, is completely believable and recognizable – we all have known a Hilly. My favorite character is Minnie. She is tough, honest, untrusting of whites, and ultimately self-sacrificing.
Give yourself a treat, read The Help.

This item is easy to setup and use and it works perfectly. It puts the gps unit in a more convenient location than the windshield mount does, making it easier to adjust and to read. It also moves it out of the driver’s line of sight to the road ahead. It doesn’t slip, at least under the normal conditions that I’ve driven. Simple to remove from the dash to put the entire unit out of sight when parked. This has added greatly to the utility of my gps.

I chose to purchase the Home & Student version of this software because it was much more affordable than the entire office suite and had the applications that I needed. Why pay more for applications that I’m not going to use??

I bought this same unit on ebay for $35 after reading all the ads. Then selected an individual who stated theirs was the latest version. My package came with 4 collar batteries and the 9V for the remote. I shocked myself at the lowest and highest of the 6 settings, and the highest was not something I’d want to endure for a long period, but neither do I feel it is too hard or cruel for the dog.

Better than my foot in his…. :o )

After just few days of wearing the collar, now all he has to do is see the remote and he quickly stops and sits… Also, to preserve the battery, the user is suppose to remove the battery from the collar except for times of training. Myself, I don’t trust anything on the dog that might hurt him, unless we are around to watch over him.

I am sure there are lemons in every bunch from these overseas manufacturers, but for the money, I’m very glad I chose this item.

Love my new puppy, but had to do something quick to get rid of the annoying habits and this worked like a charm for us…

The dog gets to stay!!!

Good Luck,
