I read this book back in high school many moons ago and when I saw it was coming out again I had to have it. This is an excellent read.

I’ve been using MS Office 2010 Beta since it became available earlier this year and really like it. I purchased the MS Office 2007 version because it was being offered at a lower price than normal and purchase included a free upgrade to MS Office 2010 when it becomes available. As of today (06/26/10) the offer is still valid and it is a good deal. Also, the 2010 version is available for download NOW. I have downloaded and installed the 2010 upgrade – it is a no hassle deal and installs clean – no problems. My advice: Buy the 2007 version at a discounted price and upgrade to 2010 for free. Amazon’s free shipping makes the deal even better.
I gave the 2007 version 3 of 5 stars because I only bought it to get the discounted price and the included free upgrade to 2010. The 2010 version is better and has more features.
Be advised: this version of Microsoft Office does not include Outlook – you must purchase Outlook separately. It’s still a great buy because Outlook is discount priced as well and you are not buying a lot of extra suite components that you will probably never use.

I was surprised, as a 40-year-old woman, reading this book aloud to my young daughter (skipping parts, too), to find myself consumed, sneaking off into the kitchen to read ahead under the guise of doing laundry, etc. Obviously, my position was embarrassing, plus the book was conventionally suspense-heavy and light on literary values; I thought of the middle-aged magazine editor who put it this way: Twilight..always and unapologetically.
As a middle-aged woman, I have the inner resources to analyze my entanglement, to process my response and to cool the fire of addiction. Yet, as a middle-aged woman, the book was more devastating to me than a teen girl could know. Because I know from experience that youth and beauty are irretrievably lost, that you will never find that kind of perfect, melting, life-in-death love (if only all teen boys were really 100 years old and listened to classical music in their Volvos!) but, at best, will rather muddle through humanly with a good man. That, on the other hand, you might not want a perfect love, consuming and obstructing at the same time. That no one will ever “see” you or care about your every breath in the way Edward cares for Bella, not even your mother, even if you’re lucky, and as you age you realize everyone is so consumed with survival and ego, they have no resources left. That, all things considered, there are other profound consolations that come with aging, such as the development of inner resources. But it was the longing for the numinous in an everyday world that upset me the most.
Ultimately, I’m happy that this book is so female-centric in its eros, the slow smoulder that no longer is culturally justified. Young girls should hope to build a life with someone who cherishes them. The teen wish-fulfillment and weaker aspects of the book, such as Bella’s neediness evaporate next to this positive. But I feel for the legion of teen girls who lack the ability to process their literary infatuation, who wear “I

When I started reading ‘Artemis Fowl’ I didn’t know what to expect. I had just heard it was a popular series with tweens and young teens, but had heard little beyond that. At first I wasn’t too impressed, I found all the LEPrecon stuff a little too cute. But once Artemis sets his scheme in motion with the kidnapping of Holly, the book really picks up steam. In essence, ‘Artemis Fowl’ is a very good heist story, but one with fairies, trolls, dwarfs and 12 year old criminal masterminds. A lot of fun.

This was a beautiful play yard. The only thing is that we were expecting to get the color shown on the advertisement (Blue with black & gray). Instead we received a greenish-blue color, almost like a teal but not as bright. I posted my own pictures so people can see what they will really get. In certain lightings the play yard is blue and black, but in reality it’s tealish with chocolate brown. It is easy to set up and easy to wheel around the house as well. The canopy part is a little hard to fold up and down. All of the music is cute, but the volume control disappointed me. The lowest setting in the volume control is actually still pretty loud, so I don’t even use the higher volume…you would need to have some serious hearing issues if you need to turn the volume on this play yard up past the lowest setting. The vibration feature needs some work, you can’t feel the vibration as well unless the vibrating base is positioned close to the baby. The music, vibration, and control buttons runs off a base that hooks onto the play yard. The changing table works well, flips away for storage, but isn’t leveled. When I change my son he starts to slide to one side, so that part needs to change. It has an MP3 input, which is cool but I haven’t tried it out yet. It has a pretty big side pocket for extra storage, a place store diapers, wipes, and two more pockets for whatever else. We decided to keep the play yard because it still looks nice and sophisticated, our needs are met when it came to keeping our baby safe when we need a break from holding him or to get something done, besides that we live overseas so it would cost way too much to ship it back. When I called Amazon about the issues, they handled my complaint very well and refunded us a discount for the confusion about the product.

I am 75 years old, the Kindle has renewed my interest in reading, that I had always loved, but had gotten out of touch with. I now have 3 books I am reading and never lose the page I am on. I also have down loaded the Bible, which I read everyday. I just returned from a 15 day trip out west, my Kindle was with me all the way, never lost touch with my reading. It’s the best thing since peanut butter for traveling. Thank you for this wonderful device. Jack E. Hicks, North Augusta, SC

This order was a replacement for this steamvac that we had before that broke. We are happy with the machine but was disappointed because there was a missing bolt. We spoke to customer service who then sent us the wrong bolt. It became clear that we were never going to get the correct bolt. We went to the hardware store and bought parts to make the missing bolt.
