Kindle is a great product, but buyer beware! If you get a Kindle and live outside the United States, the books, magazines and newspapers that you buy can come with a higher price!

As an example, the book Toe Popper Johnny Tangerine is only .99 cents for customers in the United States. It rises to $2.99 for those of us in Canada. A subscription to the The Washington Post newspaper is only $11.99 in the US, but it is more than $23.00 in Canada.

I can see a small premium being added for things, but prices that are double or triple seem a bit out of line.

Just thought you might like to know.

My scale arrived on time and packaged in a sensibly sized box with packing that prevents/minimizes possible shipping damage. It came with batteries, which I installed easily in a few seconds, and that was it. It was ready to go. I, like other buyers, put this scale to the test by stepping on and off several times, moving it’s location, adding to my clothing and last, but not least, placed two of my soft-coated workout weights on the scale. It was right on the numbers! It passed all of these tests and was consistent each time, every time. It’s good looking with a clean, sleek design and easy to read numbers. The price is fantastic. I priced lots of other scales with and without the “extra features” that some scales offer, in both local and chain stores first. As far as all the extra features that the higher priced scales offer, all I want to do is get an accurate weight and this one is as good as, or better than the highest priced scales. Before making my purchase, I read many reviews written by people who purchased this scale from Amazon.com. One stood out and got my attention. The reviewer had purchased this very same model scale and had a problem with it straight out of the box. He wrote to Amazon about the problem and before Amazon could even reply, the Seller handled the replacement and apologized for the inconvenience. I will be buying more of these scales as gifts for family and friends. If you need a scale, don’t pass this one up. It’s a winner.

I love my new Knidle 2. I’ve only had it a month, and I don’t leave home without it. Even with a cover it fits into an average size purse quite easily. It is easy to read indoors or outside in the sunshine.
I can’t imagine being without my kindle~EVER.

Wonderful Story. Beautifully written. Nostalgic and accurate account of the south in the early ’60’s.

If someone were to actually follow the advice given in this book, he would be quickly out of a job. Modern business does not put up with the attitude presented by the author. In the conclusion, he actually writes, “To be a good network administrator is to have your end users love you. To be a great network administrator is to have your users too scared to ask you for help”. A person with this attitude would not make it past the first interview in any organization I have worked for.

In other words, this is a book on how to make yourself useless to your organization.

This is such an outdated mode of thinking. The modern IT department is an internal customer service organization (and if it is not it will soon be outsourced); not an adversarial IT guy versus end user organization.

There is only about two paragraphs of useful knowledge in this book (under “The know your servers” and “Know the server room” headings).

This author proves the old adage “Those who can’t do teach”. I would recommend a pass on this title.

I have not read the book but am very eager to as my therapist said it really helped change her life! But, the book was in great condition and arrived on time, no damage, and what you see in the picture is what you get!

The 2007 2012 Outlook

After daily use in my Pentax K-7 DSLR for about 1 month this card has already developed card read errors. Sometimes when I plug it into my camera it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it locks up and suddenly refuses to write any new images halfway through a photo shoot.

Might be fine for a weekend photographer, but if you use your camera on a daily basis this card will eventually fail and cause you to loose data.

Great price, but I can’t recommend something so prone to errors.
I wish I had ponied up the extra money and bought a couple Sandisk 8GB EXTREME III SDHC Cards instead.
