An aftermarket GPS unit presents a problem of how to mount and display the unit without leaving any conspicuous evidence that you have one. The problem is that thieves frequently break into cars to steal a GPS navigation unit. The rubber suction cup mount that is often used to mount the GPS on the windshield leaves a telltale ring on the windshield so that some outside the car looking at the windshield knows that there is likely to be GPS unit inside the car even if the owner has taken it off the windshield. This “beanbag” mount solves the problem. The GPS can easily be taken off the mount and the beanbag mount also hidden leaving no signs that the car has a GPS unit.

The Year in Rock

The story line for this series was decent, but my issue with the books was that they were written at an eighth grade reading level. There was no need to think about a complex plot. These books are easy reads that appeal to young girls who typically don’t read for fun. If the people who idolize the Twilight series were to read better literature the series would have less fans.

Yes, I read the entire series. No, I didn’t think that it was an excellent example of literature. But it was worth it to read the ridiculous fourth book. I didn’t think that it could make my eyes tear up with laughter more.

But it was a train wreck that I couldn’t take my eyes off the page to see what next retarded thing was going to happen in the plot. It was a bonding experience with my sister – we would read the books and then call each other laughing. Then we would wait a couple of weeks after the two movies came out (out of respect of the fans we waited) and sit in the theater and laugh and laugh.

But that aside – I have a serious beef with this author. She claims that she has never seen or read anything with vampires. I beg to differ – she steals from a number of places. Let’s take a look.

1. True Blood’s Sookie can read minds but she can’t read vampires – a total relief to her. With a twist, Edward can read minds but not Bella’s! And Bella intrigues him just like Sookie was intrigued with vampires.

2. Interview with the Vampire’s Louie doesn’t want to kill humans because it makes him feel guilty and eats animals. The Cullens want to be “good” vampires and not kill humans so they eat animals.

3. True Blood’s Sookie is first dating a vampire in the series. But she gets hurt by him and leaves him. Who does she date next? Wait for it….a Wereworf! See anything similar here? And wait….then eventually Sookie goes back to vampires! *gasp*

4. Buffy’s Angel is a brooding vampire with a conscience that doesn’t want to harm anyone and make up for his sins. Angel refuses to be happy when he is with Buffy – he’ll hurt her! Edward is the spitting image of Angel – except with all that sparkling in the sun instead of the self immolation.

I could go on with the simliarities but then it would be tldr;

Bottom line – I hate when authors say they didn’t rip off some ideas from somewhere else. For god’s sake, almost every author does to a certain degree f

I knew the moment I heard about this lens that I’d need to get one. The chief problem I have with every other FX/film-sized wide angle lens is that they are either immense, heavy and extremely expensive; or quite mediocre* and not as wide as I’d like (and a few lens-generations old by now, as well). I had no doubt, given the excellence of nearly every recent Nikon lens, that it would be superb in terms of color, sharpness and focus performance – and only really wondered, before I’d seen it in person, whether its size would be appropriate for my use as a casual amateur photographer.

It is, almost, perfect.

First, though, having shot with it a fair bit now on both FX and DX, I can see that to convey an understanding of this lens and how it fits into the Nikon lineup it’s helpful to have some understanding of the difference between the design requirements of FX and DX lenses. This is something I’ve been writing about a bit in my recent reviews as I keep noticing the misperceptions implied by a lot of comments I’m noticing. I’m seeing comments already in reviews of this lens, for example, that it is bigger than it needs to be as a wide-angle f/4 zoom. I see comments in reviews of DX lenses that they should have been designed as FX lenses, so that they could work on both formats. And I see comments about nearly all zooms that they should have been designed with larger max apertures, even if it would have made the lens slightly more expensive.

All these comments reveal a lack of understanding about the inherent physics of optics and the design and manufacture of lenses.

For an FX lens to have exactly the same optics on FX as an equivalent DX lens would have on DX, the FX lens would need to be 3.4 TIMES BIGGER than the DX lens. This is because the FX format is 1.5 times larger in linear terms, meaning that the identical lens would need to be 3.4 (1.5^3) times larger in volume. If made of exactly the same materials it would weigh 3.4 times more than the DX len

A true title for this book would be: “Conversations with a demon; as channeled by Neale Donald Walsch”

If you are truly seeking the one and only true God, the creator of heaven and earth, who loves you and Who sacrificed His Son Jesus so that you could spend eternity with Him, you won’t find Him anywhere in this book.

Please, do not be deceived by this man’s demonic ramblings!

And if you are really seeking truth, pick up a King James Bible and start reading! Pray that God will reveal Himself to you and that He will give you the faith to believe His word.

I’m so glad my husband found this. It works great! It stays put despite some last minute quick turns. It’s easily hideable when I’m parked. I love that I can put it in many directions or turn it to face me when I’m in the passenger seat. Definitely get this! It saves your dashboard.
