Democracy in an Age

I read this book after being told by a friend that I was similar to the Holden Caulfield character of the book. At that time I was struggling in high school and my parents were mad at me about my poor grades. This was the perfect book to read at that time.

The book is narrated by a young failing student in a boarding school who runs off, stays in a creepy hotel with a prostitution business, he gets drunk at a bar, roams the city, goes to a movie, and runs back to his parent’s home. He has cool adventures and comments to the reader on his disenchantment with society. The book is a page turner. I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend it to anyone who was deemed intelligent by their parents but struggled in school.

The FURminator works really well & does reduce shedding. My only complaint is that it is expensive for a comb but if you are willing to pay for it you will love it!

Maxi Matic EC 3060X

Given that the flesh memory is getting cheaper and cheaper by the minutes It’s kinna hard to make a review here. But overall Transcend has the best price/amount of memory ratio. I’ve been using it for about 6 months now with my digital camera and had no problems what so ever.
Gegen Den Strom

I have never read anything like this and I loved every page. Very few books have actually made me gasp in shock. There is so much about the traveling circus that is appalling yet intriguing at the same time. And who knows what is fact and fiction? Gruen blends the two beautifully. I am now really interested to learn more about this era of the circus. I read my copy in 3 days and have already loaned it out. Trust me, this is a good book! And so different from any story line I’ve ever read.

I “rescued” a HUGE lab mix (notorious for massive shedding issues) when my friend lost his house in a short sale. I agreed to hold the dog for 30 days. A year later and my friend still didn’t have a place for him, and I didn’t really have room for him in my house or my life. I tried to integrate him into another family, and did so at a VERY slow and gentle pace. But on his first over-nighter he wigged out, and tried to let himself out (behavior he never exhibited before) to make his way back to me.

I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that I have to keep the dog, but I just couldn’t get past the fur – EVERYWHERE – including my eyes, nose, mouth, and food. When relaying this to a friend, she told me they’d tried several undercoat brushes/rakes over the years, and then got this as a gift. They said they used their best, similar product first, and then brushed again with The Furminator. She said she was floored by the results. I immediately got online and found an INCREDIBLE deal on Amazon (not available at the time of this writing).

Time is my most precious commodity, and I don’t have ANY to spare. I’ve had the product about 2-3 weeks. In the first week I brushed him for 10-15 minutes each day. I was floored, too. Now I brush him 5-10 minutes about 3x a week, and I’m still pulling out handfuls of dead, trapped undercoat, but less and less as time goes by. I know I’ll never be fur-free, but I’d brush him for 20 minutes twice a day to get these results! The dog looks like he lost 5 pounds, and I keep having to make his collar a little tighter (that’s where he’s really thick and has way too much skin). He hates the heat, we’re in Florida, and since using The Furminator, he tolerates the heat better, for a bit longer.

As for the negative reviews I’ve read? I’d have to guess that people are applying too much pressure. It is kind of hard to fight the urge when you see how quickly the fur accumulates on it (consider the ejector model?), and how you can keep brushing t
Scarlett s New Friend

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer is about a 12 year old boy who is a genius but the sad thing is, he is also a criminal. One day he and his butler go to a forest and find a drunken fairy. Then they take this fairy book from it and translate it to English and then they figure out there is some sort of fairy Gold.

This books theme is that you should never give up, never stop trying, and always keep your head up. For example, this fairy says Artemis can’t do a certain task, but he still believes he can do it.

I like this book because it always makes me wonder what’s going to happen in the next chapter. I think it would make you have the same feeling. So maybe you should read this book.

Bellafina Model 50 Violin

The dashboard on my Acura has a lot of curves and I was skeptical about the stability of this item when I bought it, but it has enough weight and contours to the shape of my dash, so my Garmin is very stable, even over speed bumps. The GPS is easy to lock to the pad, adjusts horizontally and is easy to remove.
VO TOYS SPORT PET

This is an amazing kitchen tool. I have used it mainly for chopping bell peppers, onions and others veggies. Amazingly quick and easy to clean up. Love it.
